What can I expect in our 15 minute consultation?

Our consultation is a chance for us to get to know each other. I tell you more about my approach to therapy and answer any questions you may have about the process. I also use this time to hear what you are looking for in therapy to make sure I have the competency & expertise in that area. It gives you an opportunity to see how you feel when talking together in order to assess if we would be a good match for future therapy sessions.

Do you take insurance?

As an out-of-network provider, you may be eligible for reimbursement through your insurance plan. I will provide all the necessary documentation to help you receive reimbursement from your insurance company. To determine the exact amount of reimbursement you may qualify for, I recommend contacting your insurance provider directly to inquire about your out-of-network benefits for psychotherapy sessions.

How long will I be in therapy for?

This is different for everyone! Some people may come to therapy for a specific concern or issue and would prefer to terminate after working through these issues. Others focus on more deep-seated issues or on-going concerns. Many come into therapy for a specific problem & may end up finding value in the therapeutic relationship & utilize it as a self-care resource. We will come up with the treatment plan that works best with you & it can be ever evolving!

What is your cancellation policy?

I have a 24 hour cancellation policy. There will be no fee if cancelled at least 24 hours in advance.
